Transducers, sound beams, and display modes.

e.g. how transducers work, matching layer, beam anatomy, focal depth, divergence, A-mode, B-mode, M-mode

Imaging & resolution

Two-dimensional imaging and resolutions.

e.g. array types, image formation, axial, lateral, slice thickness, temporal

Instrumentation

Pulsed echo instrumentation and image processing, harmonics and contrast agents.

e.g. receiver function, processing tools, harmonic imaging, contrast enhancement

Doppler

Hemodynamics, Doppler physics and optimization.

e.g. flow patterns, stenosis, venous flow, the Doppler effect, aliasing, color and power Doppler

Artifacts, safety & QA

Artifacts, bioeffects, quality assurance and professional responsibility.
